According to Myra Saefong of MarketWatch, coal is soon going to be replaced as a reliable energy source by natural gas. Natural gas has proven to be a more fiscally and favorable choice for generating electricity. This year, “the Energy Information Administration expects total coal consumption to fall by 8%,”Saefong writes. Hopefully this trend continues, especially in conjunction with a trend of lower prices for natural gas.
