This medium pressure adjustable atomizing (2 to 40 PSIG air) orifice type, nozzle mixing oil burner is used extensively on glass regenerative furnaces, hot combustion air being supplied from the regenerator.
Flame shapes are generally long and luminous but can be adjusted to shorter, sharper shape with the help of an adjustment mechanism available on the burner.
The burner is made to burn any grade of fuel oil. When burning heavier oils, they should be preheated to obtain an oil viscosity of 120 SSU or less.
The burner can be fired in any standard position, i.e., overport, underport, etc. A side-of-port firing would require special consideration.
Special features include:
• Regenerative furnace application
• Underport, overport, and sideport burner
firing
• Adjustable flame length and shape control
• Efficient mechanical and air-assist
atomization to 40 PSIG(2.76 bars)
• “Sealed-in” firing principle for greater fuel
efficiency
