Each quarter we hold a company meeting to review our progress for the previous quarter and talk about our plans for the upcoming quarter. We also review the ETTER Way – our points of culture that we want our team to model. One of our points of culture is Drive and Embrace Change.
In thinking about this point, it became clear to me that the more we change here at ETTER, the more things stay the same. Let me explain. In the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, we built gas boosters, we sold and built custom manufactured solutions, we sold regulators, meters, burners and combustion related parts, built and sold control panels and had a field service team. In 2015, we basically do the same things. What has changed is how we do it. The ENGB BoosterWorx line has transformed our business – it is our own branded Natural Gas Booster. Back in the day, we sold other people’s equipment. Today, we manufacture our own. If we didn’t adapt and grow by creating our own product line, we would not have experienced our growth. We have a very experienced field service team in 2015 – we perform state of the art upgrades at customer locations and provide outstanding service to our customers. Different than the 50’s and 60’s? You bet.
Keeping our core business and adapting and changing to external market conditions has been a staple at ETTER. It’s how we’ve survived for 75 years and how we were named to the INC 500|5000 list of America’s fastest growing private companies. It’s by driving and embracing change to ensure our survival.
ETTER then and now. The more we change, the more we stay the same!
